This International Women’s Day, we sat down with the incredible women behind Styleware — most of whom are independent business owners carving their own paths. We asked them what IWD means to them, what drives them, and the risks they’ve taken along the way.

"As the founder of Styleware, one of the things I’m most proud of is building a brand that brings together such a strong, talented, and passionate group of women. Every day, I’m inspired by the incredible team we’ve created- women who pour their creativity, dedication, and heart into something we all believe in.
My own journey- from working as a dentist to launching and growing a brand- has been shaped by the freedom to follow my path. I feel incredibly grateful to live in a time where women can choose their own direction, whether that’s raising a family full-time, pursuing a career, or doing both in a way that works for them.
This International Women’s Day, I celebrate the power of women supporting women- lifting each other up, creating opportunities, and carving out spaces where we can thrive."

"I think for me, a lot of my personal growth against the push of a patriarchal system has been in letting go of what I used to feel compelled to fit within, if that makes any sense. Young me was such a people pleaser and did little to voice my own desires to the extent that I wasn't even sure what they were.
What I've enjoyed with each passing decade - I'm 42 - is I don't have the ability to maintain those facades anymore. They've grown heavy, so I've happily chucked them. This shows up in my work life in how I navigate difficult conversations and also in the themes of my my passion, which is novel writing.
Over and over again, I find myself looking at how we're all perceiving and mis-perceiving each other and ourselves and what sits underneath that.

"Everyone says life gets great when you turn 30, and for me, that’s definitely true. If you’d told me two years ago that I’d be working for myself, forging my own career, I never would have believed you. But looking back, I can see how shedding the uncertainty of my late 20s and finding my own path led me here.
