FROM OUR KITCHEN
Recipe, words and images by Liv Kaplan
"One food secret I keep up my sleeve is that almost everything can be improved by simply dunking it in melted chocolate. Seems obvious doesn’t it. This dessert really came about when I needed a last minute idea and had no time to prepare anything crazy or run to the markets. But it is truly always a crowd pleaser, it’s very easy and very wholesome. What could be better?"

Serves: 10
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Ingredients
10 dried pear slices
100g dark chocolate (85-90%), broken into equal peices
Method
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each.
Place the dried pears in a single layer on a large plate or tray lined with baking paper.
Drizzle melted chocolate over them, using a fork or a spoon. Set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
NOTES
I use at least 85% dark chocolate as this is very low in sugar, and with the sweetness of the pear, the bitterness of the chocolate is perfect.
You can do this with any dried fruit!
